Audacity® is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds. You can download the free software for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. The release of Audacity 1.2.6 is a stable release with complete documentation for help. The latest release of Audacity is 1.3.7 and is in beta at this time and recommended for "advanced" users.
